A JOSHUA TREE WEDDING ON SUPER 8 AND 16MM FILM / LENNY & JACK
Lenny and Jack got married in the Joshua Tree desert on a warm (but then very cold) December day. They chose Le Chacuel as their backdrop which fit the vibe perfectly!
It was a day full of friendships, unique florals, sunset hues, champagne, and lots of dancing. We couldn’t have asked a better group of people to surround ourselves with.
We shot the entire day on super 8 and 16mm film — you can watch the full video below :)

“What once stood her was a rundown 1980 yellow and brown ranch style house, until October 2018 when the property where Le Chacuel now stands was purchased by Mila Morris. Since then, their special space in the California Mojave desert has become a peaceful refuge for people seeking a stylish escape from the city.
Morris’s vision for Le Chacuel was a space influenced only by the desert and old-world desert living. Everything has been intentionally set in the home to sit lower, closer to the earth. Morris designed the pool to be partially subgrade and partially above grade and use the elevated walls of the pool to prevent the elements of nature from getting into the pool. Almost everything has been hand-made custom for this space and much of the furniture you’ll experience throughout the property was Cast & Crew designed and built. The design of the house is accordingly minimal, relying on the beauty of its surroundings. The colors of the house are muted to match the shades of sand and the dirt road that stretches outside. The living room’s large sliding glass doors make guests feel immersed in nature.”
